About Us

Rose Ledbury became a jeweller and Scuba Diver in the same week.

In October 1991 she began her training at the School of Jewellery in Birminghams famous Jewellery Quarter, three days later she joined the Universitys branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club.  Following this was 4 years of jewellery training, then 10 years in the trade, working as a Silversmith and in high end retail.  Along side this was her diving training, eventually gaining an Advanced Diver qualification and by she has completed nearly 800 dives, mostly around the UK, and occasionally further afield.   She chose the name Aquamarine for her business as its not only her birthstone, but because Aquamarine is said to hold the Spirit of the Sea, a sentiment she strives to capture in her designs.

Lockdown for all of us created a different view on life, for Rose in her garden workshop, at the time in Surrey, inspiration was a bit more close to home.  Nature of course, still a defining influence, hedgehogs and trees replaced ocean wonders for a short time
